It is a security flaw found in web applications nowadays its almost in every site , some of them are patched but some still left unpatched. XSS are type of injection in which malicious JavaScript's mainly are injected to trusted websites. These attack occurs when a hacker or an attacker sends a malicious code using web applications on the network to users. These flaws are mainly found where web applications uses input from user mainly forms , signups , search boxes. The user here will be not aware of the malicious code send to him , he will think that it is come from a trustworthy site and will execute the script. End result will be that the malicious code can access any of your cookies ,session tokens or any other sensitive information which means that the attacker can take control of your system now.</span></div>

Attacker here creates an Forged HTML requests and tricks a victim into submitting by image tags etc etc. If the user authenticates so BOOM the attacker has now succeeded in his attack. Example of some tricks can be making online purchases , updating bank account information and so on. This type of flaw can be detected via penetration testing or code analysis.</span><br />

<b>Black Hat Hackers : </b>Are also known as Crackers. They break into systems by finding loop holes i.e weak points in the system and steals the data , or inject malicious content which harms the system. Black hat hacker violates the laws of security. <b>Black hat hackers</b> got more attention due to media etc so nowadays people think that hacking is bad it causes harm , I will say it is but <b>Ethical Hacking</b> is somehow different from hacking and my readers must be clear by now and know the difference between two. <b>Black hat hackers</b> mostly end up to prison. So avoid <b>Black hat hacking</b>. Learn how to secure yourself but never try to harm others :-)<br />

<b>White Hat Hackers :</b>  So who are they ? Basically a W<b>hite hat hacke</b>r is a computer geek , computer specialist , has full command of the ins and outs of a computer system and has a deep knowledge of the architecture of the systems . <b>White hat hacker</b> breaks into systems by finding weak holes called vulnerabilities . There are many types of vulnerabilities which will be discussed after this post :-) . <b>White hat</b> <b>hackers</b> use their expert level skills to benefit people , society and save them from bad guys (Black Hats). White hat hackers finds the vulnerabilities (weak points) in the system before the black hat exploits them and report the vulnerabilities to the company , organization network security in charge or whatever concern authorities and tell them to secure their systems from being hacked. <b>White hat hackers</b> are also sometimes rewarded for this act through some bounty (money) , HOF (Hall of fame placed on the website), swags , gifts and many more. Last but not the least W<b>hite hat hackers</b> have skills equal to black hat hackers but they use it for good purpose and so they end up with good results , get good jobs as security has a scope in every field nowadays.<br />

<b>Grey Hat Hackers : </b>They are also hackers and aware of all the techniques , have skills but they are at the middle means a <b>Gray hat hacker </b>can be a white hat or a black hat ..Confused ?? let me clear it this way <b>Grey hat hacke</b>r is also called cracker but with no malicious intent to the system as black hat does but he tries to find the weak holes in systems and tries to secure the systems but due to publicizing the vulnerability he may lose the credit as a black hat can simply exploit that system which is now vulnerable to the public as the vulnerability is exposed .<br />

<b>Script Kiddie : </b>Sounds like a kid .Actually he behaves like one means that a script kiddie is unaware of the architecture of the system but he uses some tools made by other hackers to exploit the vulnerability and to take over the system but he does not understand what is happening at the back end of the system . He does not know the ins and outs of network protocols , systems etc .<br />

<b>Spy Hacker : </b>This guys can work individually or in a team .  <b>Spy hacker</b> steals sensitive( Contacts , records etc ) information of one company , firm and can sell it to other company , firm  for the sake of money.<br />

<b>Cyber Terrorist : </b>Actually these guys are terrorists. They want to destroy all systems , can damage many internet users systems by sending worms , making Trojan attacks , Denial of service attacks and many more will be discussed in other posts .<br />

My next post is about <b>Ethical Hacking </b>and from now onward my posts will be related to <b>Ethical Hacking. </b>In previous post i have briefly explained key points about what is hacking actually . But this post will be different in sense of <b>Hacking. </b><br />

<b>Ethical Hacking</b> is hacking for good purpose means hacking with the permission of the Admin. Basically It is hacking for testing of a system for flaws , loop holes i.e weak points through which the system is insecure. Elite hackers also known as "<b>White Hats" </b>(Will be discussed in types of hackers next post) are the guys who have knowledge of ins and outs of a system but they use their skills to help others to secure their systems. So <b>Ethical Hacking </b>is a good start in the field of network security and highly preferred nowadays because of high security demands.<br />

Many companies can hire you around to secure their systems and to check their systems for flaws time to time. Elite Hackers end up with good results in hand with the highest pay jobs around the globe :-)<br />
