Types Of Networks..?

There are many types of networks we will discuss ..

LOCAL AREA NETWORK (LAN) : As the name implies it connects network devices within small distance may be a small room , office , or a building. LAN can be limited to one person or may be a building means LAN can be established in a single room and can even be extended to a small campus.

WIDE AREA NETWORK (WAN) : Wide area networks are used to connect different LANS together. Wide Area Network spans over a large area. Best Example of the Wide area network is "THE INTERNET" , It connects different Local area networks through a network device called a Router.

METROPOLITAN AREA NETWORK (MAN): Metropolitan area networks can comprise a city means they cover a larger area than Local Area Network but smaller area than Wide Area Network.

WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK (WLAN): These are local area networks but based on the technology of WiFi wireless networks.

CAMPUS AREA NETWORK (CAN): This type of networks are found in campuses of many universities , institution it spans over multiple LANs but smaller than MAN.
